HYBRID SOLUTIONS
TVL’s Engineering and Fashion departments may specialize in very different fields of manufacturing but there are times when only cross disciplinary synergy can provide the desired outcome.

One such challenge came in the form of a trouser design that required a mixed-media ‘trouser flare buckle’. This buckle functioned to prevent fraying at the flares and was integral to the youthful look of the garment. The client came to TVL Fashion after a long and futile search for a ready-made buckle.

Through consultations with our Engineering department, a solution proposed that combined rubberized material with a custom metal clip and silkscreened finishing – all of which would be moot if we didn’t also have a suitable supplier for the job. This is the kind of creative and technical collaboration that lets TVL take on challenges ordinary sourcing companies cannot.
